Charter Commemorates National Apprenticeship Week and Veterans Day With North Carolina Senator Thom Tillis
Charter recently welcomed North Carolina Senator Thom Tillis to our Technical Training & Regional Operations Center in Morrisville, NC to commemorate National Apprenticeship Week and Veterans Day. More than 400 employees in North Carolina are enrolled in the company’s Broadband Field Technician Apprentice program, including 100 military veterans.

Celebrating Apprenticeship Program Launch with Florida Governor DeSantis
Charter welcomed Florida Governor Ron DeSantis to our Regional Operations Center in Hillsborough County, where he helped celebrate the launch of our Broadband Field Technician Apprentice Program in Florida where over 650 employees are eligible to enroll. And with the new hire class starting tomorrow, enrollment in the program will be integrated into our new hire orientation for all Field Technicians moving forward.

Apprenticeships Strengthen our Workforce
At Charter, our core business objective is to provide superior products with great customer service across our 41-state footprint. In order to deliver on that objective, we are committed to attracting, training, and retaining a highly-skilled, diverse and locally based workforce. Charter’s efforts to invest in its workforce were enhanced last year when the Department of Labor (DoL) certified our Broadband Field Technician Apprenticeship Program, allowing us to begin the process of expanding the availability of this training program from five states to our 41-state footprint.
