“Fast, reliable connectivity is more important than ever,” said Carl Leuschner, Senior Vice President, Internet & Voice Products at Charter. That’s why each day, Charter’s 96,000 employees work to deliver on our core business objective of providing superior products with great customer service.
As part of this commitment, we are doubling our starting download speeds for an additional 8 million homes and business. Upon the project’s completion, nearly 75% of our footprint will enjoy minimum speeds of 200 Mbps and gigabit-speeds are available across virtually our entire national footprint (940 Mbps maximum download).
Our announcement of increased download speeds coincided with the release of the Federal Communications Commission’s Tenth Measuring Broadband America Fixed Broadband Report, which highlighted how Charter is outperforming benchmarks and delivering superior services to our customers. We exceeded 100% of our advertised speeds during peak times on all speeds measured – three downstream speeds and two upstream speeds.
“We are delivering Spectrum Internet customers in these communities even more speed for streaming, remote work, distance learning and staying in touch with family and friends — with no modem fees, data caps or contracts,” added Leuschner.
With millions still working and learning from home due to the COVID-19 pandemic, access to dependable, high-speed internet connection is more important than ever. Charter strives every day to better serve our customers and give them the products and services they want: fast speeds, consistent performance, and 99.9% network reliability.
