"We commend Congressmen Guthrie (R-KY), Chairman of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce, and Hudson (R-NC), Chairman of the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Communications and Technology, for their remarks on expanding upon U.S. Wi-Fi innovation in the unlicensed 6 GHz band, and Rep. Hudson’s comments on protecting private American industries' investment in Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS)."

"The Trump administration helped secure America’s technology future in 2020 when it opened the 6 GHz band for unlicensed spectrum use. Industry moved quickly to deploy Wi-Fi and today, Charter is fully utilizing the 6 GHz band to meet consumer demands from the growing number of Wi-Fi connected devices in homes. We’re also investing in CBRS, where we commercialized our first market in Charlotte, NC in 2023 and are deploying in additional markets as part of a broader, multi-year network buildout. These 5G small cells, combined with growing Wi-Fi capabilities, increase speed and reliability for our mobile customers. Nearly 90% of our mobile traffic travels over our network either via Wi-Fi or our CBRS spectrum, creating seamless connectivity inside and outside the home with internet and mobile."
