Charter is committed to strengthening the communities we serve where our employees live and work. Our highly skilled and diverse workforce of 98,000 employees across our 41-state footprint strive to not only to provide superior products and services to our customers, but to also support their communities, big and small.
That’s why we launched a new philanthropic program – Spectrum Employee Community Grants – to help enhance the positive impact our employees are already making in their communities.
Spectrum Employee Community Grant donations allow us to build on our employees’ dedication and help strengthen community connections, providing funding of up to $5,000 to local nonprofits that provide critical social services and other basic needs, including homeless shelters, food pantries, job training centers and neighborhood safety programs. The response from our employees has been overwhelming – so far in 2019 Charter has had the privilege of donating to more than 110 worthy organizations across 23 different states.
Each recipient of one of the Spectrum Employee Community Grants has been nominated by an employee who has a personal connection to the organization and has volunteered there for at least a year. The value of the program for Charter and the organizations it supports is best explained by the employees who are investing their time and energy in making their communities a better place.
