Charter is strengthening communities in New York by helping to bridge the digital divide and improving homes across the City.

Expanding Access to High-Speed Internet

Charter is working to ensure more New Yorkers have access to the digital tools they need. Spectrum Internet Assist will provide eligible New York families and seniors with high-speed broadband.

Creating Digital Literacy Opportunities

We’re partnering with organizations across New York City to set up Spectrum Learning Labs for students to use after school or on weekends. Neighborhood residents will be able to visit their local learning labs to access the internet and gain the digital literacy skills they need to do well in school and advance in today’s workplace. In addition, Charter’s new Digital Education Grant Program continues to create digital literacy opportunities, offering support to local organizations that educate community members on the benefits of broadband and how to use the internet to make their lives better.

Making Homes Safer and Healthier

So far, Spectrum Housing Assist has improved nearly 9,000 homes across the country with the goal of 25,000 by 2020. Charter employee volunteers helped complete home improvement projects in Manhattan with more planned for New York City this year.

Committed to Reflecting the Vibrant Diversity of New York

Reflecting the many communities across our footprint is core to Charter’s mission, and we’re proud to advance diversity and inclusion through our highly trained workforce.

Charter cares about the communities we serve and welcomes the opportunity to provide its superior and innovative products and services to millions of New Yorkers. By expanding access to high-speed broadband and digital literacy tools and making homes safer, we are committed to strengthening communities across New York for years to come.
