This fall, Charter is proud to continue our partnership with the arts network Ovation and promote their signature Stand For The Arts campaign. This national initiative is dedicated to raising awareness, protecting access, and encouraging support of local arts initiatives. Awards are granted based on organizations’ ability to create inclusive access to artistic programming and their innovative approach to arts education and skills development. With Ovation, we’re pleased to be awarding a total of $120,000 in grants in a dozen communities we serve across the country.

“We are proud to partner with Ovation again, and expand this important initiative that supports the arts to twelve communities we serve,” said Adam Falk, Senior Vice President, Government Affairs for Charter. “Local artistic organizations add rich beauty and life to these communities we share in common. The deserving organizations who have received this important award have our congratulations and thanks for their service to their communities, and the arts.”

“Beyond our well-being, the arts contribute to cultural and educational opportunities,” said Sol Doten, Vice President, Content Distribution Marketing, Ovation. “We appreciate Charter’s partnership in spotlighting the creativity and innovation of these deserving organizations that were selected as this year’s recipients of the Stand For The Arts Awards. The power of art has the ability to inspire and elevate humanity, and we are thrilled to support the efforts of these organizations as they continue to make an impact in their communities.”

The first of twelve 2018 Stand for the Arts grants was recently awarded. We recognized the Buffalo Arts Studio which gives affordable studio space and exposure to visual artists while creating community cultural connections through exhibitions, public art, and educational programs. We also recently joined community leaders, students and families in the Milwaukee areas to honor Latino Arts Inc., for its work elevating, enhancing and expanding arts in that community.
