Charter is continually working to expand reliable, high-speed broadband access to unserved homes and small businesses. Recently, Charter announced it would invest millions of dollars to bring the full suite of Spectrum services, including Internet, TV, Mobile, and Voice, to more than 1,500 homes in the rural towns of Etna, Newburgh and Swanville. Construction has already started and Charter expects completion and service launch by late summer 2021. Once completed, these homes and small businesses will have access to starting internet speeds of 100 Mbps and connections up to 1 gigabit per second (940 Mbps maximum download) — with no modem fees, data caps, or contracts.

Charter serves over 448,000 customers in 293 communities, and employs nearly 700 across the state. In 2020 alone, Charter invested more than $55 million in technology and infrastructure in Maine, and extended its network to reach an additional 13,800 homes and small businesses. Looking ahead we will continue to invest in expanding our network to unserved areas and looking for ways to be a part of the solution to bridging the digital divide.
