We schedule one-hour appointment windows when our customers need at-home support, at times which work for them, including evenings and weekends.
Charter is continuously investing in our network to better serve our customers across our 41-state footprint. Since 2014, we have invested more than $32 billion1 in technology and infrastructure, which has enabled us to extend the reach of our network and to significantly enhance our broadband service. Charter’s flagship offering is 200 Mbps in 40% of the homes we serve, which is 25 times faster than our flagship speed of 8 Mbps was eight years ago, and speeds of 100 Mbps nearly everywhere else.
We also offer Spectrum Internet Gig that delivers a 1 Gbps connection (940 Mbps maximum download) to customers’ homes, as well as small and medium-sized businesses, across virtually all of our footprint. Recognizing the importance of fast, reliable service for community institutions, we offer 10 Gbps symmetrical speeds to schools, libraries, hospitals, and other important community institutions through Spectrum Enterprise.
In 2018 Charter launched Spectrum Mobile which offers customers the best speeds, with the best devices, at the best value. Spectrum Mobile is a smarter network, designed for the way mobile devices are used today, and the way they will be used tomorrow.
Spectrum’s all-digital network offers hundreds of HD channels and thousands of Video On Demand titles. Our cloud-based Spectrum Guide offers customers a user-friendly and intuitive navigation experience with features such as “Watchlist”, “Cast & Crew” information, and direct access to Netflix, making it easy for customers to view their favorite content. Spectrum Guide Narration, which announces onscreen text and instructions within the guide, allows customers with visual disabilities to explore thousands of TV shows and movies.
We’re proud to have an impressive lineup of culturally diverse programming that reflects the diversity of our customers. We carry over 100 international networks in more than 15 languages.
We offer one of the most robust Spanish-language programming packages, Spectrum Mi Plan Latino, with more than 75 channels covering news, live sports and entertainment. We’ve also expanded our partnerships with African-American owned and themed networks like ASPiRE, Revolt, Bounce TV, and the Impact Network to deliver this diverse programing to our customers.
Spectrum TV App
Charter’s Spectrum TV App allows customers to access live TV channels and up to 40,000 On Demand TV shows and movies without having to rent a set-top-box. We strive to design universal product experiences that work for everyone. For example, the Spectrum Mobile self-support app and the Spectrum TV App for Apple TV are “born accessible”, meaning accessibility features were incorporated in the initial design process so they are accessible “out of the box” and there is no need to adapt or duplicate products to serve the needs of customers with disabilities.
