Bright House, Hope And Help Center Toy Drop Benefits Kids Affected By HIV

Gifts for more than 150 Central Florida kids were loaded for delivery Tuesday afternoon to make the holidays a little better for children with HIV or who have parents with HIV.

The toy drop was at the Hope and Help Center of Central Florida, a center providing support to those affected by HIV and AIDS in the Orlando area.

“HIV medication and care is very expensive, so our clients don’t have the disposable income that a lot of families would have,” said Lisa Barr, executive director of the Winter Park center. “This is a way for them to normalize and be able to celebrate with their families in a way that they would not be able to,” she said.
