Our efforts to continue growing our highly-skilled, diverse, and insourced workforce includes hiring more veterans and reservists and increasing employment opportunities for military spouses. Charter is proud to employ nearly 10,000 veterans and military reservists – 10% of our total workforce.
We are committed to building strong connections with veterans and transitioning service members, reservists and members of the National Guard, and military spouses, and as the country adapts to a new normal during the COVID-19 pandemic, the way we connect and recruit has changed as well.
Charter’s Military Virtual Career Fairs, which began this summer, are supported by our military partners – USO, Department of Defense Military Spouse Employment Partnership, Hiring Our Heroes, Wounded Warrior Project, Centurion Military Alliance, and Student Veterans of America. We’re excited to connect with veterans, transitioning service members, reservists and members of the National Guard, and military spouses to explore positions in field operations, customer operation, sales & marketing, and network operations, as well as internship opportunities for student veterans.
Over the next six months, roughly 100,000 service members will transition into the civilian workforce, and we are committed to helping build on talents developed during military service and translate them into meaningful careers with our company.
