Investing in communities
Charter’s American workforce enables us to offer a better customer experience while also investing in communities across our footprint. Our approach allows us to provide the best-possible service to our customers while helping to grow our country’s economy.
Bringing American Jobs Back from Overseas
We will return Time Warner Cable’s overseas call centers and bring back jobs to the U.S., with plans to open these facilities in the communities we serve. In addition to on-shoring call centers, we are insourcing more of our field technician operations. Whether we are selling our service or supporting our customers, we want a Charter employee – not a contractor – to handle these interactions. Not only will this strengthen America’s workforce and enable us to help grow the economy, it also allows us to provide the best-possible experience for our customers.
Hiring 20,000 Employees
We’ve hired more than 17,000 American workers since 2012, representing a 24 percent increase in our workforce, and have committed to bringing back outsourced call center jobs to the United States by hiring and training up to 20,000 customer care workers and field technicians. With good, in-house jobs featuring robust benefits, including retirement security and opportunities for career advancement and continued training, Charter is a company where our employees can build great careers.
Charter is committed to improving communities and impacting lives where our customers and employees live, work and play. Spectrum Housing Assist partners with nonprofit organizations and engages employee and community volunteers to repair homes across the U.S., with a goal to improve 25,000 homes by 2020.Learn more about Charter’s work in communities.
