According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, hurricanes have caused more damage – both in death toll and cost – than any other type of severe weather event since 1980.

• Positioning our employees and equipment strategically so that we can work to restore service in hard-hit areas as quickly as possible after the storm
• Working closely with federal, state, and local government officials, community leaders, and alongside others in the industry to ensure we are meeting needs and sharing appropriate information
• Across more than 30 local Spectrum News channels and the Spectrum News App, we provide 24/7 news and weather coverage to provide our customers with real-time updates. Using state-of-the-art technology, our expert meteorologists provide precise, zip-code specific and up-to-date forecasts as storms develop to keep people informed.

Once the storm passes and it is safe to do so, Charter technicians will get to work restoring service to any impacted areas as quickly as possible. Support for our communities after storms has also included helping open up our Spectrum Out-of-Home WiFi hotspots for public use and donating airtime for Public Service Announcements to help keep the public updated on relief efforts in their communities.
